The model shows the goal. PLOT plots the work.

BIM describes the goal — the permanent layer. It has never described the work: the scaffolds, cranes, laydowns, hazard zones that exist only while we build. PLOT is the method for that temporary layer — every temporary thing registered as a place, a date range and an owner, before the work starts, by the crews themselves, on the same model.
